The Marking App
Organising your comment banks by course and assessment.
Your work is organised into folders and pages. A typical setup: one top-level folder per course (e.g. COMPSCI 101), with pages inside for each assessment (Lab Report 1, Final Project). Folders can be nested inside other folders for deeper hierarchies.
Each page holds its own comment bank and a private notes area.
From the home screen, click New folder.
Give the folder a name - typically a course code and name.
Click Create. The folder appears in the sidebar and on the home screen.
Open a folder.
Click New page in the folder view.
Name it after the assessment - for example, Assignment 1 or Final Essay.
Click Create. The page opens with an empty comment bank on the left and a notes area on the right.
Tip: Use descriptive page names. You'll thank yourself at the end of semester when you have a dozen pages across multiple folders.
Use the dropdown menu on any folder or page to rename or delete it. From inside a page, the same options are available in the page toolbar at the top right.
Click Share in the page toolbar to invite a colleague by email or generate a share link. Share links let anyone view the comment bank for two weeks without needing an account - useful for external moderators or coordinators who just need to review.
